Rev. Canon Robert Alan Schiesler

Interim Pastor

The Rev. Canon Robert Alan Schiesler serves as our Interim Pastor. He holds degrees in ministry and theology as well as the Ph.D. Canon Bob has worked in several dioceses, including as Dean of St. Paul’s Cathedral, Iowa, and as Rector of St. Mark’s Pro-Cathedral Church, Michigan. In 2006, he was named a Canon of Honor in the Episcopal Church. He and his wife Mary moved to Mechanicsburg in 2015, and he shortly thereafter accepted the Call to ministry as Rector of St. Luke’s Church, Mechanicsburg, where he served until his second retirement in 2019. Since then, he has served as Priest Associate and Interim Pastor at Mount Calvary, and as a supply priest in the Diocese of Central Pennsylvania.

Deacon Stu comes to us from the Diocese of Maryland where he worked as the Facilities Director for St. John’s Episcopal Church and Parish Day School. His wife, the Rev. Anjel Scarborough, is the Rector of All Saints’ in Hershey. Stu and Anjel have two adult children, Marty and Erin.

Director of Christian Education

Melanie has a passion for working with children, including three of her own, and has devoted 22 years to leading the Christian education program at Mount Calvary. She looks forward to ensuring that our young people feel safe, treasured, and excited to come to church to learn about God’s presence in the world and in their lives.

Steven Lee

Director of Music

Steven comes to us from nearby Mechanicsburg where he lives with his wife Lynn Cobb. He first studied with Margaret W. Powers in Manchester, NH, and at the University of New Hampshire. Currently, Steve is pursuing a PhD in American Studies at Penn State in Harrisburg where he is also an adjunct professor.

Parish Administrator

Lori has been attending Mount Calvary parish for more than 20 years and has volunteered in several capacities. Her two daughters are grown and married, so after retirement, she found working part-time as parish administrator fit her schedule. Lori is usually in the church office Monday through Thursday, 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
